Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.


During your Reiki session, I will focus on your 7 main chakras (Crown, 3rd Eye, Throat, Heart, Solar Plexus, Sacral, and Root Chakra), channelling healing energy to each to help your life force energy run smoothly throughout your body.  When things happen in our lives (big or small), blocks, or partial blocks, can occur within our Chakras - This means that your energy can stop flowing as easily and can often present themselves as physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual symptoms.

  • The Reiki energy will go to where it is needed first, where I am simply a channel for said energy - I can take no credit for it nor can I tell it where to go, I just trust that it will be for each client's highest and greatest good.

Reiki also helps your body relax enough to help it to heal itself.

What can you expect during your treatment?

When you come for your appointment we will discuss your current symptoms and I will check your Chakras to see if any of them have become blocked or partially blocked.


The session itself includes talking before and after and will take around an hour. I will play music whilst you lay on the bed, where I will channel the energy to each of your chakras, your knees (to help you in moving forwards) and your feet (to help you feel grounded and secure).


Before a distance Reiki session I will need to connect with you, ask you a few questions and take some notes. I will also send you a piece of music to listen to during your session.


Reiki sessions can last up to 40 minutes so please allow yourself this time (undisturbed, if possible). Please create a low-lit, calm and tranquil environment for yourself. You will also need a glass of water close by for after your session.

During your distance appointment you will need to be lying down flat or sitting up with your back as straight as possible - This will allow the Reiki energy to flow much smoother through your body.


After your Reiki session

Following your session, I will ask you about anything that you experienced during your treatment. A week later, I will also contact you to find out if you have noticed any positive changes as a result of treatment.

It is recommended that you drink plenty of water for at least 3 days after your session to help remove any toxins that may have been released up to allow them to leave your body easier.


During the session, you may experience different sensations, but as everyone is different there is no list that fits all. My previous clients have reported experiences that include: -

  • Seeing colours (with your eyes closed)

  • Old memories resurfacing

  • Feeling tingles / Pins and needles

  • Warmth and coolness in different areas of your body

  • Feeling super light or super heavy

It is helpful to be open minded and don't have expectations before a session as each person is different and will have a different Reiki experience.

Many of my clients say that they feel lighter after a session, like a weight has been lifted, super relaxed and often find that some of their physical ailments or even anxiety is reduced. If you have suffered with any mental, physical, or psychological issues for a long period of time it is recommended that you consider more then one session for the most benefit.
